Curriculum

  • Independent

Children are shown simple tasks and then trusted to complete them on their own. As they master skills, new elements are added and their creativity shines as they take on the next challenge!

  • Individualized

Children are free to work at their own pace. New concepts are presented, and children can return to them as often as they want to build their skill set. The comfort of a mastered task paired with the excitement of new challenges allow children to learn and grow in a style that matches who they are as a person whether that be an eager beaver or an observer. There is a place for all learners!

  • Supported

While children get the opportunity to be independent, teachers and peers are always close by and ready to support and encourage. We lean on each other as a community to learn, inspire and congratulate each other!

  • Weekly happenings

Music, dance, pre-K reading one on one time, art exploration and our letter of the week!

  • Our World

Children work independently, in small groups and as a class throughout the day. Teachers monitor progress and help fill in gaps, so each child is building on the next skill needed to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. Our hands on Montessori work is coupled with dramatic play, cooperative play and monthly thematic units.
